Natalie Brettell

I am 21 years old from a town called East Kilbride, Scotland (Just outside Glasgow). I am a singer/songwriter. I began writing poems when I was 12. My first poem was published when I was 18 in a book called 'Mixed Emotions' which is on my page called 'Life'. My hobbies are writing poems for myself, people I know, writing music and playing guitar. I feel I always write my best when I am really feeling an emotion such as anger, frustration or if I have lost someone I love. Sometimes I write for people close to me if they need uplifting or to explain to someone how I'm feeling. Some find this odd, but it's just me! Sometimes my poems turn into songs. It is something that I thoroughly enjoy and help's me escape from day to day life. I want to share my passion with other's who have the same interest. Some of these poems are straight from the heart. I find it difficult letting people into my soul...but here it is...and there's more to come!
