Oh how awesome - definitely let me know when you've finished and posted. :) And keep on writing too. I've lost count of how many times I've told myself that the best I'll ever write has already been written. But that's not really the point of it all, is it? :)

Well I feel entirely undeserving of such favor but I appreciate the faith you have in me as a writer. This past year has been especially challenging for me and it has been so soul affirming to have what few pieces I have managed to write be so encouragingly welcomed. Yourself and others like you on here keep me going. :)

I hear you...my presence has been pretty spotty on here as well for most of this year...also trying to get back to a place where I can read more soul-enriching and not soul-numbing content and so perhaps write more intentionally and authentically.
I'm honored though that you thought to read something of mine on this occasion of your triumphant return - I'll definitely try and catch you next piece so that I may return the favor. :)

Thank you kindly for reading and commenting on my "bird" piece. WritersCafe has seemed pretty empty these past few months and even I haven't had much of anything to post, so it's really a treat to hear from a writer like yourself in these busy times.
Hopefully summer will allow us all some time to start writing and sharing again... *smile*

Hi Su' thanks once again for taking the time to read my writing and for your kind words. I like to take my time with my poems. By that I mean I prefer making notes, thinking it over for a fair while and then working on the idea and the notes into a poem. The main reason why I prefer taking my time on them is because I'd much rather work hard on one poem and put everything I possibly can into it. Than writing lots and lots on the spin. But don't get me wrong, it can work that way too but I find that less of a challenge and less fulfilling personally. One of the best tips I've ever had is to write each poem like it may be the last. That's a rule I do my best to follow with each poem I write. Hope you're well and having a lovely weekend. I'm fine thanks and I wish you a wonderful rest of the summer and lots of inspiration. ~ Russ
