I'm a twenty year old student, writer, and musician. I've been interested in writing for more than seven years now, however I've only ventured into the competitive field twice. I won two competitions for that, then I decided to pull back and focus on music and art. A teacher of mine wanted me to read a certain book--I did and fell in love with the subject again, now I'm an english major, almost finished with my degree (one more semester) then I'll be a teacher. That's crazy. I love everything. I grew up poor, and music helps me find myself, and writing lets me show that to others. A professor once said to me "if there is something in your life that you feel as if you'd die if you couldn't do it, then that's what you need to do. If you don't feel that way, then maybe it's not for you." I would die without writing, music, and cinema, but most of all: literature.
