I love writing, but I get writer's block very easily, which is a pain in the arse. I do like to read poetry a lot, but for the life of me, I can't write it myself. Ever since pre-school, my writing is mostly paranormal, supernatural, sci-fi, and sometimes a tid-bit of urban-fantasy. My sub-genre is mostly historical or futuristic. When I was 5 years old I watched a lot of Goosebumps and Charmed, so that got me started on paranormal and supernatural stuff; and my father and me used to watch a lot of The X Files and the original Stargate series, which got me interested in sci-fi. My mother hated that I watched horror movies at that age, but they didn't bother me, as my dad taught me how to watch them. Now when I watch someone being thrashed about by a vampire or a green blob, my brain switches to comedy-mode and I laugh.
