I write , mainly poetry, about anything and everything. I have written song lyrics and seem to be addicted to rhyming. I hate writing blurbs for blogs as I never know what to say...

I often confuse people with things I write. (not on purpose) I forget we're all wired up differently. I am fascinated by science, love being out surrounded by nature (I live near the Lake District - probably the most beautiful inspirational place on this little island ) I also enjoy jamming and singing with friends and sitting around a real fire whenever I can.

I love comedy and sometimes write amusing little ditties (usually caustic wit). I have recorded some bluesy material from lyrics I wrote www.myspace.com/dianahlancaster . I also enjoy drawing and painting. Some of my pics can be seen on www.myspace.com/barbarianella.

I am not very good with grammar and formal poetry. I have started taking creative writng classes at evening school. I hope I will have the guts to do some open mic soon as I have sung on stage but not my own lyrics (yet:)

I appreciate constructive criticism as well as positive feedback. I am trying to do more reviews when I can spare the time (poems or very short stories only, please)
