About Me
Throughout my life I have been accused of being a dreamer, as if it were something to be shunned and corrected. People wonder why I go through life with my head in the clouds. Well, thats an easy answer... It's the best view. Why walk through life with your head down? Granted, keep your eyes on your feet and you may avoid the mishap of stepping into a mess. But why not look up? You would be amazed at what you can see while looking above everyone else's thoughts of grandeur. And also, if one never looks up, you would miss the rising and setting of the sun... you would miss that rare shooting star where upon dreams come true. There are some opportunities in life that we pass up or overlook because we never got over the nerve to build beyond and above our foundation.
It's a tricky thing, to be able to look beyond the clouds, because one must envision it... dream it. There are times in life where being a dreamer pays off. Sometimes you have to look beyond the everyday to capture the essence of tomorrow. Everything in life started as a dream... But there is one rule in being a successful dreamer... you have to have the nerve to fulfill it. Remember... To hit where you're aiming, aim high. And always shoot for the moon... because even if you miss you'll land in the stars.
Some may say that I am an idealist, or an opportunist, and they may be right. but above all... I am a dreamer. I can hear the angry mob now..."hogwash. What folly!" I tell you my friends, it is better to live in fantasy then to have no imagination at all. Einstein once said:
"Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there will ever be to know and understand."
And he was right. Let me ask you this? How smart... let me re-word... how GENIUS can one be if one can't talk in silly voices while reading a bedtime story? Imagination is the key to unlocking, not only our true potential as humans... but our true potential as thinkers. One does not have to be "in the box" of normality, or even reason for that matter, to be extraordinarily gifted in the art of thought. I bet you thought that all "thought" was just that... thought. Oh, but it's not. It's so much more.
Anyone can sit down and think... it is the process of thinking that matters. Logical thinking is respectable, indeed. But what ground does logic, or rather probability or reasonability, have to stand on without imagination?
If logic, probability and reasonability had swayed some of our greatest thinkers ever... we wouldn't be where we are today. Think of cars, skyscrapers, electricity, traveling to the moon, a space station! All would be naught.
"The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination."
- Albert Einstein -
So, as I was saying... I am a dreamer. Take it as you will... ;)
