About Me

So, about me...

Well, I'm twenty years old. I'm going to NKU to major in information technology to (hopefully) get a job as a web designer, and I'm minoring in creative writing. I'm not much of a talkative person, even on the web, so if you try talking to me and I don't say a lot, don't take it personally, especially if I barely know you. Also, I'm gay and have been out to my family for some time now.

As far as my writing is concerned, I mainly write gay fiction, but I've experimented with other genres, such as horror.

As for reviews...

Frankly, and at the risk of sounding kind of rude, I'm not like 90% (or more) of the WC population who leave nothing more than pointless comments like "I liked it!" or "It's good!" I try to give honest, constructive reviews; if I like something, I'll try to explain why, and if I see something that I think could use improvement, I point it out. I don't know about other people on this site, but I'm here to get critiques so I can learn what I need to do to improve my writing. I review other work with the same mindset, to help both the person and myself. And when I review, I have to admit that I can say things rather bluntly, but my reviews aren't meant to be taken negatively. I critique to help, not to insult (so don't go and think I'm saying you're a horrible writer when I go and offer suggestions, especially when I explicitly stated in my review that I love your writing). If you can't handle criticism at all, then don't send me read requests. But if you want honest reviews and you aren't going to b***h at me for them, then feel free to send me a read request and I'll get to it whenever the reviewing mood hits me. Oh, and one more thing:

I DO *NOT* REVIEW POETRY!!!!

Do not send me a read request for a poem. I'm sorry, but I don't know enough about poetry, and I'm not going to review something that I know little about.

Going off of this, I like getting reviews similar to what I give. I don't care for mindless praise or pointless comments. If you say it's good, tell me why it is. Oh, and if you see ANYTHING wrong at all with something I wrote, point it out! Like I said, I'm here to better my craft, so I appreciate it when people offer suggestions, even if it's something as minor as a rewording. :)

Sorry, I know I sounded rather bitchy with the review topic, but it's the one thing that irks me about this site.

Thank you for your review. It was helpful, but it is just explaining why Akio was killed. I am writing in third person so it's in my point of view. The main point of the story is for Asumi to get revenge on his killer.
