I thought I would write you a love poem
Or a tale of longing and hope and loss
Perhaps a story of God in His glory
The magnitude of Christ on the cross
And I would then post my offering
On your page here rather than send
A valentine or Christmas card rhyme
To say I remember my friend
You know I've become absent minded
That is, my mind left and where it has gone
Is a mystery; especially to me
But if you find it, oh, please send it home
But God has been graceful as always
Filled with compassion and care
Mother died and the tears I cried
With the hurt was a burden to bear
He raised his eyes beneath the thorns
As blood trickled red down His cheek
It was for this cause that He was born
His strength appears when I am weak
We all have crosses to bear my friend
Like Simon of Cyrene let us be
Compelled to serve our Lord with strength
That as slaves of Christ we might be free
So I will end my love poem here
You know by my words it is true
I think of you often my friend, my dear
And wanted to say how I miss you
Thanks for the review of Grace. I appreciate it!
Project one off the table and done; well, on the writing side. There is still the marketing end of it, but it's published! :)
