About Me

* NOTE * I've semi-retired my WritersCafe account. I've removed all my writing and won't be really reviewing anything in the future either. I just need to move my concentration elsewhere right about now. Don't worry, I'll still be writing, and feel free to drop me messages, as I'll still check those pretty frequently.

Justin Burning has been writing since he was a youngn scrawling tales of cute little zombie-wombies, adorable cannibalites, and darling demons. Hes been briefly published, but hopes to one day render all other authors obsolete.

Right now he is currently at work on a handful of novellas ("The Corpse Eaters," "Masticate," "The Within Unknown," "The City, The Flesh," and "Tar"), a multitude of half-finished short stories, and some macabre poetry.

He's the Founder and Editor of The Open Vein, a PDF zine dedicated to horror fiction of all types. Check it out @ www.theopenvein.com or on MySpace @ www.myspace.com/theopenvein. If you write horror, submit something!

He's the Co-Founder and Editor of HorrorCraft, an upcoming site dedicated to indie horror filmmaking and its artists (for now: www.myspace.com/horrorcraft; later: www.horrorcraft.com).

And for the heck of it, he writes reviews 'n' stuff for Arizona-based horror/exploitation movie site, I Can Smell Your Brains Dot Com.

I saw your post on Shocklines.com. The tools to make your small press kick ass -- PDF Machines, Open Office.org, Fxphoto.com, CafePress.com and Lulu.com (used in combination will make it even more kick ass.) I am giving you tips that will make anything you run on there something that will knock Delirium Books out of the water. If you want a tip with books on CafePress.com -- get a book that is already published there to see how it looks. Example here I just did Tabloid Purposes IV as a 5 x 8 size. I am doing a givaway anthology at an event I am signing at -- if you have a print anthology by October 3rd -- I will run some promotion for it on my booth. Here's where you can get the cafepress version.

You're welcome!
Well, fun it certainly was. :) I hate to see it go, it was well written and interesting. But, you do what you gotta do. I can't count the number of times I've written something and then decided it's not at all what I wanted. The integrity of the piece as a whole is what ultimately matters.
