Same here, for the most part, especially in my poems but less so in my prose. Once I write something I fall in love with how it sounds and to erase it from existance....to take away the life I gave it...it is like a mother taking the life of her own child...maybe that's too strong a simile but . . . it makes sense, doesn't it?
