The poet FORMERLY known as POETESS has changed her name!!! I believe MERIDIAN is more fitting to what I am trying to represent. Bear with me people. I was born fickle.

I truly believe that I was put here on this earth to write. Of my many talents, writing is the one that comes the most naturally to me. I remember my first experience with writing. I wanted to impress my first grade teacher, so I planned to plagiarize a Japanese poet (ahh... young minds...). Upon searching a book of Japanese poetry that my mother owned, I realized that I didn't have to copy, I could do what they did. So I wrote, mimicking only the style. I have been creating poetry ever since.

Most of my poetry comes from personal experience, so the emotions my pieces convey, whether it be passionate lust, fiery rage, adoration or frustration, are, 90% of the time, genuine. In that sense, I am limited. I have always wanted to try to represent a perspective that I have not yet experienced and make it REAL to the reader. With that in mind, I started to write stories. The stories are slower to be produced because of my desire for realism, so bear with me!
