About Me
I love art in all its forms, some I am able to actively pursue and others I admire. I am a writer who has spent many years on the periphery of where I really want to be. I studied journalism in South Africa during the height of the anti-apartheid struggle, lived in London for some years after graduating, and have worked in corporate communications and media relations for the mining industry for most of my career. In recent years I have confronted my real desire and that is to write a novel. Finally I have given myself permission to pursue this goal. When I am not writing I paint pictures, do ballroom and latin american dancing with my husband and listen to my daughter play her violin. I also provide communications and investor relations consultancy services to exploration and mining companies. My husband and I have three daughters aged 20, 16 and 10.
