About Me

Writerscafe (in loving memory)
. . . . .
The walls creak and crumble as I tiptoe around
Holding my breath for fear of collapse
Holding in the sighs and cries of what once was
Now turned to dust
Beneath the weight of spam.

Looking for poetic survivors
Few made it out alive
Souls scream in the rubble
Among their ruined words and works
Maybe the musclemen spammers will save us.

But they too perished
The greed of need consumed everything
And the creators could only watch in horror
As their advert overload
Brought down the house.

Where it once stood proud
A small plaque marks the tragedy
Whilst pointing you to the gift shop
To buy tattered fragments
Of the unknown poet.

No one left to hear the words
In honour of the dead
Even Miss Morrissette saw that irony
As the silence reverberated
Into the shadows of its former self.
. . . . .

Oh I have a quite rude purging attitude towards my writings too sometimes. It cleanses my mind in a way.

I'd say don't force it. It'll come back. Some things need time, the best ones, often. Thank you, btw..to you too :)

I'm sad to hear that... Sometimes we need a break, I don't know how often I said this to seemingly everyone who crossed my path. Your mojo might have gotten lost on the way, maybe there's a new one on the road ahead. ;)

mojo can be a fickle thing ..good luck as you rest, recoup and find it once again ... try reading a few lines of a favorite book or magazine ... in front of a mirror ..as loud as you can .. making faces at the same time ;) it may help you know!!
