A seventh-generation Texan, her ancestors were in Texas before it was a Republic. In addition to being steeped in Scottish traditions and culture, she has numerous interests and a string of professions (see above), which allows her to build plots and subplots (and plots within plots) which will keep the reader entertained (hopefully) for years and many books to come.
