About Me

Journalist, writer, bibliophile, Manila Bulletin intern, frustrated poster boy, poseur extraordinaire, debater, TV/Film enthusiast, foodie and overall a*****e.

He confounds even himself for attempting to write poetry.

Has a natural tendency to overthink and overanalyze poetic works as if it were an issue to be resolved.

Among his plethora of character defects, he considers his superiority complex to be his Crown Jewels.

Though he does not know why he is here, he just is.

Thank you for your review of To Castch a Butterfly. And in answer to your question, no, it was not intended as an allegory for distopia (although feel free to translate it as such if the thought inspires you) but I did have an allegory in mind. You know the wealthy type of men who collect trophy girlfriends, then discard them after they've had their fun? The girls are drawn to the money like butterflies to nectar but they usually just end up added to the collection. Thanks again.

the prose piece you liked..well, I'm much more familiar w/ that style..i can pretty much express myself at will..I have a lot more control w/ it..cause I'm more well versed in it..pun-intentional

hmm..I'll have to check out Pinsky..

sounds like there's some multi-dimensional schematics I can explore there..definitely a merging of east/west philosophy in the envelope of subjective/objective reality ; that's what I'm going for..it tends to pull out the sublime from the slime..if you get my snow drift

i read your review of nothing metaphorical..ha..I'm not offended
it's all about people do things that make no sense
like acting spiritual and being closed off
when in rome
and I attributed it in
the other direction to past experience
it's chaotic and non-sensical..but because that
reflects what i have seen..I may edit it at some point

for now I'm ok w/ it..if I edit it w/ a new liner's note
I'll email you and send you a read request..no worries
i've had pieces that I went back to at another time and
they came out better w/ a little new insight and injection

it's all timing, you know....
