Thank you, Karen, so much for looking-in on me!
Yes, I paid dearly for all those trophies over the years in money, sweat, sprains, bruises, broken bones, and loads on entry fees into tournaments and fees for matches fought … winning enough to barely pay for everything.
I've been asked several times if I'd do it all again, and I replied that I, probably, would … duhhh! Go figure … LOL!
I've loved to sketch and paint, too, Karen, since I can remember … just never excelled at it, like I always wanted to.
I'm so happy you visited! : )

You are most welcome, GH,
But, your words are a natural and beautifully touching poem, too (the best kind), deserving to be enjoyed by all, with a picture, lovely font, and all your own touches included.

Gosh, GH!
Thank you so very much for sharing such a beautiful, heart touching poem here on my comments, but it should be posted under your name, too, in homage to the song, so all can read, enjoy, and review it's enchanting embrace.
A big, warm hug of thanks! ⁓ Richard

A Mother's Whisper

Come dear precious, lil' baby boy
to tuck You safe, with warming joy
Your heartbeats soft and strong
beneath my tender voice
You're here, in a loving home

Shall I count to You,
the treasured thumps?
Pray with each, grant You a wish
a beautiful smile
My grace, from heavens above
Your slow breathing,
my soothing song

As You need me, I need You
in a blessed embrace
of miraculous wonder
My bosom You swell,
With grateful tears
I hold You to sleep
You gift me,
a reason to live*

Jasmine,
It is a picture and song tribute to the loss of a friend's mother, sung by Cathy Ryan, professional American Irish singer. I have always thought it is so beautifully sweet, I thought others may, too, so I shared it.

Thank you for listening and for being so tenderly touched! ⁓ Richard
