Sarah Miller

I'm a graduate student at Mississippi State University getting a masters in English with a concentration in creative writing. I've been in Mississippi all my life; I reckon I'm as Southern as they come and that shows up in every word I write. I like to believe that people are good and that some day I'll find the perfect man and that all dogs go to heaven...but most days I question my whole belief system. I'm absolutely NOT a poet and really have only written poems as assignments...I love poetry and would love to be better at it, but it escapes me. I'm finding out that my strengths (as far as writing goes) are in writing about people I knew and places I've been and stories I've told a million times. I may not make it up, but I can tell you a hell of a story. And if I can keep you laughing or thinking or both, then I'm happy, 'cause that's all I was after.
