Basil

I am currently on a gap year before studying Classics at university. Classical writers have had a large influence on the subjects of some of my work, particularly Homer and Virgil. I am also influenced by the likes of Carol Ann Duffy.

My favourite poets are Homer, Catullus, Blake, Byron, Keats and Baudelaire. I am an also an artist. J.M.W Turner and Hockney are among my favourite artists.

My poems generally come to me without much effort on my part.

My editing process is almost always nonexistent and if I leave a poem half finished to continue another day, I never will be able to finish it at all.
