Clementine

I'm Clementine, and I wear many hats throughout the day. I'm a stay-at-home homeschooling mother, a freelance fiction editor, an author, a mommy-blogger, a co-editor for a literary magazine, and a student in a Master's program. To say I'm busy is an understatement, but my trusty Bullet Journal guides my way.

I write: children's fiction (ranging from picture books to middle grade), young adult, contemporary literary fiction, literary thrillers, cozy mysteries, and new adult fiction. I specialize in murder mysteries and coming-of-age stories, and I nearly always throw in a dash of magical realism.

I read: all of the above! I'm more lenient with what I read since all I'm really after is a good story. A story with LGBT+, neurodivergent, or POC main characters captures my attention immediately. (Add in a cat, and we might as well be best friends.)

What do I stay away from, in general? Erotica, romance, paranormal romance, paranormal anything, religious anything, and high fantasy. Science fiction and fantasy stories need to have an exceptional story centered around them for me to take a second look at them.
