DetailsPut together a story, poem or monologue detailing your opinion and analyses of W.E.B. DuBois's ideology regarding a sense of Twoness or Double Consciousness.
Double consciousness, in its contemporary sense, is a term coined by W. E. B. Du Bois. The term is used to describe an individual whose identity is divided into several facets. Du Bois saw double consciousness as a useful theoretical model for understanding the psycho-social divisions existing in the American society. "One ever feels his two-ness,—an American, a Negro; two souls, two thoughts, two unreconciled strivings; two warring ideals in one dark body, whose dogged strength alone keeps it from being torn asunder." - W.E.B. DuBois ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- All viewpoints, ideologies, and theories are welcome. [Content Maturity Level is not limited.
