A Challenge Prompt~ April 12, 2011 - May 15, 2011
Reading and Deliberating
DetailsI challenge you to sit down and actually write an original poem for this contest (This means it has to be written on or after 4/12/11). In the description of the poem put "For Challenge Prompt Contest"
Prompt: I enjoy human nature and how people interact with each other on all levels. This poem has to be about the opposite sex from you. Pick a human characteristic like "being vein","beautiful on the outside and ugly on the inside". Something that makes a strong statement about the other sex and how you view them or a part of them. I want to see some kind of comparison, or conflict. I am not looking for love poems or erotica. Make sure the poem has a point to it, or a lesson to be learned. Let me know if anyone has a question. I expect the number of entries to be low on this contest because I don't believe people will actually sit down and write an original poem for a contest, it is too easy to submit anything and cross our fingers that it places. I want to see who is up to the challenge to show us that they have a creative muse willing to step up to the challenge. Extra consideration for anyone who writes and submits this in the form of a "Poem Story". If your not sure what that is check out my work. You have been challenged, will you accept?
