What makes a poem a poem? How is it different from song lyrics -- is it? -- or prose? Why is a prose poem a poem? Does it count as a poem if words from a prose piece are put into poetic form? If it rhymes is something ergo a poem? You get the idea!

Let's explore the differences and similarities. Humor, ponderings, prose, poetry, lyrics, anything is welcome. Cafe members will vote on the submissions, but I might -- with permission and attribution, of course -- ask to use some pieces for a writing group.
