We all have adversity in our lives. Whether it's the difficult teacher, the stormy day, or the feeling that keeps us from asking that cute guy from homeroom out (wink wink nudge nudge), adversity can come in just about any form. Let's, for the moment, focus on an adversity that can't be fought--irreversible events, weather, luck, our own emotions. You'll find that those are much harder to deal with than ones you can physically fight...

Write a story about how a character learns, not to conquer adversity when it can't be conquered, but to deal with it with good grace, and in a way that's fun or interesting to write about. Good luck!
