EACH MONTH IVOR WILL INTRODUCE A DIFFERENT FORM OF POETRY FOR BEGINNERS OR ACCOMPLISHED POETS OF FORMAL POETRY ALIKE.

I'm sure this will take some of us out of our comfort zones!

Parameters and example
Rondelet

French form

A septet or seven line stanza

with two rhymes and a refrain

the refrain is six syllable (Tetrasyllabic)

or four syllables ( Dimeter)

The rest of the lines are twice as long 8 syllables Tetrameter

A signifying the repetitive refrain.

Echo replies ,
rebounding from the rocky walls.

provides no answer tells no lies
Between the echoes silence falls
and leaves what memory recalls.
