Asia America Rising  May 11, 2008 - September 19, 2008

Asian Americans are often absent or misrepresented in popular media. This contest is to help writers try to form a broader, better view. The contest includes the following restrictions:

*Your main character must be an Asian American. A male character will get you more points, as Asian American men are more neglected.
*None of your characters should have trouble speaking English fluently.
*Mention anime and you're disqualified.
*Mention "duty" "honor" or "revenge" and you're disqualified. You may, however focus on inner conflict.
*Kill off your main character and you're disqualified.
*Employ fetishism and you're disqualified.
*Employ supernatural elements and you're disqualified.
*Your settings must be modern and in America.
*Try to limit your story to 20 pages.
