Autism Awareness  June 23, 2012 - July 23, 2012

Reading and Deliberating

Details

Autism, in 2003, the rate of having autism was 1/500. Today, it's dropped down to 1/88 in a few short years, in 12 years, it's expected to be 1/22. And the numbers will keep getting lower.
People with autism have twice the chance of dying young than other people. They are attracted to water and can run away.
People with autism are different, but we should still care about them. A lot of teachers in autistic classrooms beat the children up and torture them because of something they can't help.
Write a story about somebody you know with autism, what happened to them, and spread awareness of it. Because people don't know much about autism, and it's getting to a point where it's deadly not to know.
(Please, nothing rude)
