Beauty in the darkness  April 29, 2008 - June 16, 2008

I'm extending this till June 15th. I was hoping for more entries. :)

I find dark poetry very fascinating, and it's even more so when there is beauty in it. I want your best poem on this topic. It can be about anything, as long as it's dark and somehow beautiful. But I really enjoy a good fantasy-based poem. I want some of you to step out of the box and try this type of writing. One submission only, please. Also, there are several rules you must follow:

1. Use AT LEAST 5 of the following words in your poem:
-enchanted
-mystical
-creepy
-eerie
-haunted
-whimsical
-tragedy
-rapture
-bewitch
-spell

2. MUST be free-form. Poetry only

3. Include at least one of the following in your poem:
- a forest
- a lake, pond, or river
- a castle
- a fairy grove
- a bridge
