Blood 'n' Guts Scary Story Contest  February 13, 2009 - April 1, 2009

Contest Completed

Scariest Story - Requiescat in Pace
Hannibal Lecter Award for Best Villain - My Dead Girlfriend
Hook-Hand Award for Best Urban Legend/Campfire Material - [writing deleted]
Ed Gein Award for Most Realistic Plot - Daddy\'s Little Girl
Stephen King Award for Best Use of the Supernatural - Have a Seat

In honor of Friday the 13th, let's have another scary story contest. Please submit your best horror stories (or poems or whatever). No restrictions on content, as long as they're really, really creepy. Like, Joaquin-Phoenix-on-the-Late-Show creepy.

The shorter, the better. The more realistic, the better. And stories are preferred to poems. But none of these things matter, as long as the submission is scary.

There are categories, so instead of first-second-third there will be one winner for each category. I saw that idea in another contest and liked it.

Your story will undoubtedly be told and retold around campfires for years to come.
