Carte Blanche to your imagination  May 15, 2007 - May 31, 2007

All she could hear in the house was herself munching cookie after cookie while trying to study Virgil's Aeneid.
Until something in the next room crashed to the floor.
Her eyes widened, as the cookie fell and broke with a deafening crack.
Trembling, she rose to her feet and walked out of her room.
The living-room was desert.
Crash again.
She almost screamed, and jumped back into her room, scared as never before. Thoughts of possible horrible situations buzzed around her brain, while she opened the closet and reached for her softball bat. Her actions were driven by instinct.
Taking a deep breath, scraping courage off the bottom of her terrified heart, she ran out of the room and across the living room.
She opened the door.
