Reading and Deliberating
DetailsOk. Simply I'm creating a series of contests (rounds style alongside adding in new people) which will basically include requirements that change each time.
Since this is the first, I'll keep things relatively simple. I want a poem in the form of an abecedarian (poem with each stanza and/or line with the next letter of the alphabet). Please put the form in the title, and the title of the piece in the description; that way, you can easily change it back when the contest is over. As it is an acrostic, I do not want the preschool "A is for, B is for, C is for". Nope. Never. Ever. I want it to flow effortlessly, like there is no form there. But obviously there is a form. But don't show the form. Make sense? No? Good. It doesn't to me, and I'm sitting here typing this. Next contest will include a choice of form, rhyme scheme, meter, and a number of devises, and mixtures of these are allowed. I'm not going to limit the number of times you enter (20 is limit due to WC), but if you enter more than one poem, only one will be put through. Obviously. Different authors have to be put through or it would not be a rounds contest. If you want to start preparing for the next qualifying contest, search "bob's peotry byway" for the list of all the choices you will all have over the series of contests. I will be adding in my own, and giving you lyrics/songs/poems to use to start an idea. Simple: -Form: Abecedarian -Rhyme: no specifics but nothing forced -Meter: no specifics -Length: 26 stanzas, and/or lines -Time limit: 3 months Prizesbeing entered into a rounds contest to win a huge prize (disclaimer: there may not be a huge prize)
