Anyone for some historical fiction?

Tell a ridiculous, tragic, or just-plain-fail tale of history from the perspective of a _fictional_ character.

(Reasonably) historically accurate, minus experiences of your made-up character. It should accurately display the event, meaning your character's personal story shouldn't be the focus.
