FLASH FICTION OPEN  June 14, 2008 - July 14, 2008

Reading and Deliberating

Under 1,000 words. Story. Any genre, but it's gotta be short. "Flash fiction" isn't known for it's well rounded characters, lush, stringy imagery or plot development; it's known for making a statement, or packing a punch, in as few words as possible. The shorter the story, the stronger the message, the more effective and memorable it will be. Keep that in mind. Any genre flash fiction >1,000 words. Have fun!!

BRAGGING RIGHTS, and knowing that you're a very efficient writer.
