Details

"I went for a walk, and I did not talk
for I felt dawn listening to me,
My steps were soft, I was alone I thought,
but for the silence, dawn, and the trees..."

I wrote this poem because I enjoy early morning walks through the woods. Although I'm alone, I sometimes get a peculiar feeling out there. This contest is for poems about the forest. While I really like poems that
a. are inspiring,
b. are thought-provoking,
c. are beautiful,
d. rhyme, or
e. have an interesting or fun rhythm,
I'll take whatever you've got.
You may submit up to nine entries and there are seven ribbons, three of which are Honorable Mentions.
