KERRY'S November Prose Challenge  November 6, 2011 - November 28, 2011

With the arrival of November and NaNoWriMo, I think a forum is needed for writers of short fiction to showcase their work on Writers Cafe. For this reason, I have deviated from a poetry writing contest, and challenge you to write a short piece of prose, flash fiction or prose-style poetry. Entering an extract from a longer piece is also an option. (Free verse or form poetry is not acceptable.)

TWO RULES TO RULE THEM ALL:

1) The piece must be written in the month of November 2011.

2) Maximum number of words: 1000

TWO pieces may be entered per writer.

Please note that awards are not made on a descending scale of first, second, third etc... Rather as an acknowledgement of outstanding work based solely on my subjectivity.

Any piece entered in this contest, which does not adhere to the criteria will not be read, much less considered for an award.
