(source: dictionary.com) Rules: Contestants must adhere to this definition of what is considered "romantic." Contestants are limited to 2 submissions each. Each submission must be of different type of writing. (e.g. you can't submit 2 stories or 2 poetry. It has to be 1 poetry and 1 story or just one screenplay) >Poetry entries must be structured in a modified Spenserian Sonnet form with the rhyme scheme of, abab, bcbc, cdcd, ee abab, bcbc, cdcd, ee; with a total of 28 lines >Stories must be less 5000 words. >Contestants submitting stories and screenplays and stageplays are only allowed to have, at most, 5 main characters and 5 support and/or background characters. >Screenplays and stage plays must have 3 scenes with, at least, 5 settings. >Any submissions that does not follow these structure limitations are automatically disqualified. This is set up to challenge everyone's ability to write under structural and genre restrictions. This is set up to help you, the writers, to become more flexible and adaptable to situations where you are required to write something which is not in your comfort zone. Deadline is on the 25th of next month. Entries will be judged on the 26th and the winners announced on the 31st. Remember, this is all for good fun. Awards
