NATURAL WORLD POETRY CONTEST  April 4, 2009 - May 4, 2009

Do you have a way with words? Does the natural world inspire you to verse? If so, enter my poetry competition and you could win RESPECT of your fellow writers.

The Competition
Your poem must be about the natural world and/or our relationship with it (no domestic plants or animals, please). Don’t feel you have to write about big issues – start with your own ‘lived experience’ and call upon your senses to create fresh images (avoid clich�s). Avoid tautologies.

Your poem can take any form that suits you – it can be a song of praise, an ode or a lament, in rhyme, free or blank verse – just make sure that it is no longer than 50 lines. The poems are judged by me.
