As the days get darker, the weather dramatic and the air more crisp, the poets job gets easier. To make things more of a challenge, I've created this contest. Your task is to write a poem using "November" as the topic. Entries will be judged based on two criteria:

1)Your entry must stir emotion. Whether this be injustice, love, appreciation of beauty, or even fear, the more powerful the emotion, the more successful the poem.

2)Your entry must inspire thought. This is the criterion of lesser importance, yet still, it is important. Any good literature should give insight to the human condition, and so to expect that submissions will do so is a reasonable standard of judgment.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is about the month of november, and not the Thanksgiving holiday. Not at all about the Thanksgiving holiday.

That's it, those are the standards. Go out there and do justice to the month I love.
