Petrarchan Sonnets September 13, 2009 - November 13, 2009
I want a Petrarchan Sonnet.
It can be on any topic of choice.
Now the pattern must be this:
The sonnet is divided into two sections by two different groups of rhyming sounds. The first 8 lines is called the octave and rhymes:
a b b a a b b a
The remaining 6 lines is called the sestet and can have either two or three rhyming sounds, arranged in a variety of ways:
c d c d c d
c d d c d c
c d e c d e
c d e c e d
c d c e d c
(each line is a different way to do the sestet)
Any further Questions should be directed to the dessignated thread.
Prizes: A T-shirt, of the color of your choice with the poem (yours or someone else's) of your choice, printed on it. The winners will chat with me and go over on how they would like their designs made (I will be paying for the shirt and s/h . And of course, a badge for your profile.
Tshirt with your design on it and badge for your profile.
