I'm writing on a project for team salamander and we need some bodies on the writing/design side. The gig is unpaid, but the project is slated for commercial release and there is potential. I need a couple people to help flesh everything out. I know a few collaboration sites, but I love the community here and it's really the best place to find actual writers. I thought it would be fun to do this as a contest, the winners will fill the slots that are open on the writing team. Now the prompt.

I want to see your best dark fantasy short fiction and poetry. Any subject that fits the genre is appropriate. I'll read your best two. If you can do one prose, one poetry, that would be perfect, but I'll take anything that highlights your skills. I look forward to seeing your work.
