Sestina Smack Down!!!  April 1, 2008 - July 1, 2008

This idea stemmed from my Poetic Forms class. We had people who said that the sestina should stay true to it's form while others said that using "foresight" for the end word "see" was acceptable. Lets see what you think. Post your sestinas. They have to be in a sestina form if you don't know how to write one I will post up how. They only thing you can alter is the way you use your end words and the order of your words in the envoi, if you so choose to alter anything. The form is as follows each letter represents the last word in the line as you can see the six words are repeated in a specific order in each stanza:
