Slice of Life Contest  July 13, 2011 - August 13, 2011

In a maximum of 1000 words, write a story (chapter, book, ect. NOT POETRY) about "slice of life", something I define as a story about everyday events or occurrences that are thought provoking and heartwarming.
This does not mean your story can't be dark, however.
Bonus points if you set it in Spring or Autumn. Lose points if set in Winter or on a holiday, but these are still accepted.
