Speculative Fiction   May 11, 2011 - June 11, 2011

Reading and Deliberating

I've been craving some good old fashion speculative fiction and Sci-fi. The reason I use the term speculative fiction is that while I love science fiction the focus has moved to center on the science itself and not the socio-political or religious implications and relationships that make science fiction interesting. I don't want to read a technical mannual on string theory or why faster than light travel would work. I want to know what it would mean to the society and character.

If you're at a loss for inspiration then check out some classic twilight zone or outer limits episodes or read some early Asimov short stories. The mechanics don't matter just the idea.

So on to the rules.
Short stories only. Keep it short and interesting.
Must be a speculative fiction idea.
Keep the rating safe for everyone.
