Is a diamond beautiful because it is a diamond or is it beautiful because of some other reason? Can anything be truly material? Is the use of imagery powerful because of what it makes us think? Or is it beautiful because of what it makes us feel?

Send in your best poetry about worldly objects. Amatuers need not apply, no offense, but I am not interested in what the majority of fools here in Writer's Cafe like. And if you are under the delusion that you are not one of them, then you are wrong. And if you are worried that you may be one of them, then you are also most likely one of them. And if you don't find any of this at all offensive, then you belong here.
