There is no entry fee to enter a poem in this contest on the WC site, BUT TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE CASH PRIZES YOU MUST FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS FOR ONLINE SUBMISSION AND PAY A SMALL ENTRY DONATION on the University of Connecticut web site.

We are looking for poetry that celebrates or describes the natural world in the first category, "Nature and the Environment." For the second category, "People in the Environment," we are looking for poems that describe how people interact with the world around them, or are impacted by it.
The third category, "Environmental Awareness," deals with the scope of awareness about environmental problems, insights, solutions, thoughts, feelings, reactions, etc. There is a lot of leeway within this category.
