DetailsPens for Peace is pleased to announce our first set of writing contests. Please submit either a short story or poem about one of the following subjects. The winner will be featured on our myspace page, along with a short bio and photograph (optional) and a link to a site of their choosing. Winners will also be featured on our up and coming website and will be published in our annual Anthology.
Please submit your poems and short stories either here or to [email protected]. All questions may be addressed to that email address as well. This contest runs through January 31, 2009 and the winners will be announced on February 5, 2009. WE WILL SELECT TWO 2 WINNERS -- ONE POEM AND ONE SHORT STORY. WINERS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY EMAIL. Please select from one of the following topics: 1. Social injustice / lack of human rights 2. War 3. Extreme poverty 4. Environmental degradation 5. Hate and racism _____________________________________________________________________ The contest guidelines are as follows: All work must be original. Pick one of the 5 issues to write about. Please note the topic in the subheading or author's note. If you submit via email, note it somewhere in the email. Up to three entries per writer. 50 line limit for poems, 1500 word limit for short stories. No profanity allowed. This is a contest honoring humanity. Good luck and God bless! T.
