The Bad and the Mad: The Black Dahlia  January 1, 2013 - January 4, 2013

Reading and Deliberating

Details

This one will be interesting. I want an original piece delving into the mental chaos of the infamous Black Dahlia's (one of the most famous murders of all time) killer. Give me what was in his mind shortly before he killed her and as he is killing her. Don't make it up! Take your cue from the crime scene photos, and the victim. What was this guy thinking as he stalked her? What prompted him to arrange her body and chop it up the way he did?

(Clue: Take a Hard Look at Some Surrealist art to understand the Black Dahlia's symbology and check in to the history of some of the artists popular at that time and living in Southern California and LA)
