Using the visual prompt posted on the website, www.awordwithyoupress.com, reflect on your own experiences growing up in racist America. Full intent and submission details available on the site. The prompt is a casting forged in Montgomery Alabama in 1931 directing "coloreds" and "whites" to separate drinking fountains. "The reason there is evil in the world is because people don't get to tell their stories." (Carl Jung) Please, tell us your story. Entries are posted on line to allow you to be part of a broader discussion, and the contest will be judged by Pulitzer Prize winner Jonathan Freedman.
