The Story of the Blue Lion  December 27, 2007 - January 7, 2008

Hi,

My name is Lexy and I started a charitable foundation for children called The Blue Lion Foundation. I joined here because I heard there are a lot of talented writers here! I need a very short story that I can use for my foundation. The story needs to be about a Blue Lion and a child (or children) and how the Blue Lion helps the children somehow. I think the lion should have a name, but I'm not sure.

The story needs to be short enough for a picture book for kids. The story needs to be emotional and touching, creating a sense of strength and caring for children. The idea is that children need to know that there are forces in the world who will look after them even if they don't know who they are or where the help will come from. The Blue Lion represents this.

I'm only 14 years old and don't have a lot of money for a prize, but I saved $50 that I decided to use for this contest.
