DetailsPoetry based on a true event in your life. Examples: a sporting event, first kiss, a special moment, a depressing moment like a loved one dying, a victory, an embarrassment, and etc.
Doesn't have to rhyme. Any style of poetry is acceptable except for: limericks, haiku, and extremely long epics (short epics will be accepted). Contestants may enter three poems. Winners will be selected by me. There will be three awards received: first place, second place, and third place. There will be five honorable mentions for poems I thought were the best but didn't win. Also there will be two special prizes of "The Next Emily Dickinson" and "The next Longfellow". (Deadline has been changed due to baseball getting in the way of me being able to judge these.) PrizesThe icon ribbons and such
