So what do you do? Well, I'll tell you right now, you're probably going to start from scratch. not necessarily, but it's likely you will. My friends, you are writing five peices for this contest, and each peice is going to fit exactly into each of the descriptions I give you. It should be fun! =] So I'll list each type of writing you have to do, then you'll submit them (all at once preferably, but one at a time is okay too) By the way, the 'topic' is what yopu base your peice around, or just mention at least once. be creative with it! Number One Type: Story (Short Story) Word Count: Less that 3,000 Genre: Your choice! Topic: Candy (yes, the kind you eat) Number Two Type: Hiaku (message me if you don't know what that is) Word Count: No limit, as long as it fits the 5,7,5 syllable pattern Genre: NOT Nonfiction Topic: No nature. yes, its an antihiaku hiaku =D Number Three Type: Screenplay Word Count: Less than 4,000 Genre: Comedy (and anything else you want to add along with it) Topic: The Study of Fantasy and Sci-Fi Things Number Four Type: Poem- Limerick Word count: Any, must follow 3,3,2,2,3 rhyme pattern/beat though Genre: Mini Tragedy (Yes, include a whole "story" in it) Topic: High School Drama Number Five! (and can include somethign along with one of those four, too) Topic: Fate Note: I'll constructively critique each peice of yours, for I hope this strengthens your writing and I hope you have fun at the same time! When I choose winners, I'll chose your Novella peice as the winner, even though the scoring will be over all five categories :D You have one month: so i hope your self motivated! (Its really not that hard: ever tried nanowrimo? now thats hard! so no complaining about only one month ;]) PrizesA Warm Cuddly Feeling =]
